Rockstar’s GTA 6 marketing has gone fully real-world: a convoy of actual cars wrapped and modified to look like in-game vehicles has been spotted driving through Miami — Leonida license plates and all.

The convoy

The lineup reads like a Legendary Motorsport catalog come to life: a Coquette, a Coquette D10, a Cheetah, a Tempesta, and a Manana — plus a Progen Emerus built on a real McLaren and a Vice Beach Police Lamborghini Huracán with a working siren. Every car wears Leonida plates. The convoy has been photographed cruising Miami streets and parked up at a gas station, and a Goodyear blimp with Vice City branding has been spotted overhead.

The Miami takeover

The cars are just one piece of a much bigger play. The Kaseya Center is reportedly sporting a “Welcome to Vice City” sign in a deal said to be worth $975,000. Hard Rock Stadium is running GTA 6 ads, Vice City–branded beach chairs and umbrellas have appeared on the sand, and the Miami Heat are hosting “A Night in Vice City” on November 18 — the night before launch.

Not everyone’s thrilled

There’s been some pushback from local officials about the city being depicted as a crime-ridden playground — which, to be fair, is exactly what the game is selling. But the marketing blitz shows no signs of slowing down.

KongMNG’s take

A working-siren Vice Beach Police Lambo with Leonida plates is the kind of marketing you can’t buy — except Rockstar clearly did. Turning the real Miami into Vice City for launch month is genius. This is how you market the biggest game of the decade.
