Seven games, zero dollars, through Sunday night. ARC Raiders is free for every Xbox player with no Game Pass required — and four more are open timed trials.
The full lineup
Xbox's Free Play Days is back with seven games playable from Thursday, October 8 through Sunday, October 11:
- Screamer — anime-infused arcade combat racing (Game Pass required)
- Family Man — dark narrative RPG about owing money to the wrong people (Game Pass required)
- ARC Raiders — free for ALL Xbox players, no subscription needed
- High On Life 2 — timed trial, free for all
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl — timed trial, free for all
- Little Nightmares III — timed trial, free for all
- Rogue Waters — 2-hour timed trial, free for all
The fine print
“Free” means different things here. Screamer and Family Man need a Game Pass subscription — Ultimate, Premium, or even Essential all work. ARC Raiders is the standout: completely free for every Xbox account holder with no membership at all, celebrating the game's first anniversary alongside the new Frozen Trail update. The other four are timed trials, so you're getting a taste rather than the full game. All seven are discounted if you want to keep them, and your progress, achievements, and Gamerscore carry over if you buy.
KongMNG's take
This is one of the better Free Play Days lineups in a while. ARC Raiders free for everyone with no strings attached is the headline — especially with Frozen Trail just dropping and the player count surging past 130,000. If you've been curious, this is your no-excuse weekend. And the timed trials are perfect for the “should I buy it” games: two hours of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 or Little Nightmares III will tell you everything you need to know. Just remember it all ends Sunday night — don't sleep on it.
