Team Cherry’s little ghost has officially crossed over. The Knight landed in tonight’s Item Shop refresh as a Sidekick companion — here’s what’s in the bundle.

He’s here. After weeks of teases and datamines, a dedicated Hollow Knight section went live in the Fortnite Item Shop with tonight’s refresh (October 7), and the Knight is real. This is the headliner of Fortnitemares’ October collab rollout — and arguably the most-requested indie crossover Fortnite has ever done.

A Sidekick, not a skin

The big question ahead of the drop was whether the Knight would be a playable outfit. He’s not — he’s a Sidekick, Fortnite’s companion cosmetic that follows you around the map. Think of him as your tiny, silent, nail-wielding backup while you play as whoever you want.

Honestly? It fits. The Knight barely speaks in his own games — trailing behind you into battle is exactly his energy.

What’s in the bundle

Datamines ahead of the drop pointed to Default and Shade styles for the little guy, a Nail pickaxe, a bench-sit emote, and a Grub Back Bling. Epic’s own promo art shows the Knight parked on a bench next to Guff, so the bench emote checks out. The section is live in the shop right now, so hop in-game to see the final lineup and pricing.

Why it matters

Hollow Knight fans have waited years for this crossover — and with Silksong finally launching last month after one of the longest waits in gaming history, the timing couldn’t be better. Team Cherry’s little ghost fighting alongside you in Fortnite is one of those crossovers that just makes sense.

If you’ve been holding your V-Bucks, tonight’s the night. Sidekicks tend to stick around the shop for a few days, but Fortnitemares collabs have a habit of vanishing — don’t sleep on this one.
