The Game Dev Story studio is cooking with Sanji. ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet launched today at $19.99 on Switch, Switch 2, Steam, iOS, and Android — a restaurant management sim set aboard Baratie Number Two.

Kairosoft, the pixel-art management-sim studio behind Game Dev Story, has teamed up with Bandai Namco Entertainment for the unlikeliest crossover of the year: a One Piece restaurant sim. You play a rookie staff member aboard Baratie Number Two, a second branch of the floating Baratie restaurant — and an imposter of the famous restaurant has appeared, so it’s on you to restore its reputation.
Cooking with Sanji
The hook is the kitchen. You’ll cook alongside Sanji himself, preparing series icons like Water-Water Meat BBQ and Sea King Penne Gorgonzola, plus Devil Fruit-inspired creations — then combine dishes into signature set menus to win over the toughest customers.
More than 400 One Piece characters show up in Kairosoft’s signature pixel-art style, both as staff and customers. Each has their own tastes: impress them with your cooking and décor and they become regulars, unlocking unique events.
Decorate like you’re in the Grand Line
The restaurant is yours to design, with 200+ furniture and décor items spanning the series’ most memorable locations — Whole Cake Island dessert themes, Egghead futuristic pieces, and inspirations from Alabasta, Wano, and Elbaph.
Even series creator Eiichiro Oda weighed in at launch: “When I heard the game was ready, I said, ‘Let me play it!’ But I was told, ‘We can’t let you play because it’s the type of game you’d get too hooked on.’”
Price and platforms
ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet is $19.99 on every platform: Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android. The launch was staggered by a few hours — Switch and Switch 2 unlocked October 22, Steam followed that evening, and mobile arrived today. It’s single-player and digital-only.
