Sloclap’s fast-paced football game just got its biggest shake-up yet. Rematch Season 6 is live now with a brand-new progression system that turns every match into a step in your career — plus new cosmetics, a new arena, and a major networking overhaul on the way.

Season 6 launched on October 23, 2026, and the headline change is simple: your old Player Level is gone. In its place is a full career system built around Contracts and Badges — progression that measures what you actually do on the pitch, not just how many matches you’ve finished.
Contracts replace Player Level
Contracts are the new progression tiers, running from Baller all the way to Icon — ten Contracts in total. You earn Experience in online matches, level up your current Contract, and complete its requirements to move on to the next, collecting rewards and unlocking new features along the way. There’s no level cap, so once you reach Icon you can keep earning levels and Blocks indefinitely.
Each Contract asks you to fill three Badge slots to complete it, which is where the system gets interesting. And if you’ve already put in the hours, they still count: Legacy Rewards recognise progression achieved before Season 6, converting your old progress into caps and profile cosmetics instead of throwing that work away. Anyone who reached Player Level 5 or higher starts Season 6 with the Amateur Contract already unlocked — which matters, because you’ll need Amateur to queue for Ranked matches.
Badges: let your game speak for itself
Goals are only part of the story in a Sloclap football match, and the new Badges system finally recognises that. Whether you’re creating chances for teammates, shutting down attacks, beating opponents on the ball, protecting the goal, or delivering when everything is on the line, there’s a Badge for it. Badges unlock through match actions and level up as you repeat them.
You choose which Badges to display on your Player Card, and they show up during celebrations and post-match Victory Moods. Fill every Contract slot with Badges from the same category and you earn an archetype: three Goalkeeper Badges make you a Rampart, three 1-star Attack Badges earn Striker, and three 2-star Badges from one category grant Vanguard. Complete a Contract and its archetype name becomes a Player Title for your card. Your whole Contract Career is visible in the Profile menu — and it’s public, so anyone visiting your profile can see it.
Nature or nurture? Choose your side
Season 6 frames all of this through a “nature or nurture” theme: is greatness something you’re born with, or something you earn? The two sides get their own cosmetic collections. The talented Vanguards get a polished, elite aesthetic, while the resolute Glitches get a bold, disruptive style. New cosmetics arrive through the Season 6 Captain Pass, and there’s a new VR set to play in: Clouds Sunset, a pitch high above the clouds against a glowing sunset.
Netcode 2.0 and more on the way
The other big change isn’t fully live yet. Sloclap will progressively roll out Netcode 2.0, a major overhaul of Rematch’s networking systems designed to reduce desyncs and rollbacks and make interactions on the pitch more consistent and fair. It’s currently in beta in the separate Rematch Beta Test app, with one trade-off to know about: it adds roughly 50 milliseconds of input delay in exchange for the smoother online play. The beta runs until around mid-November.
Smaller quality-of-life changes are in now too: Quick Chat now separates compliments, apologies, and tactical messages, and push-to-talk is the default voice-chat mode. Halloween and holiday events are coming later in the season, alongside special offers with discounts of up to 60% throughout Season 6.
Where to play
Rematch is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, as well as through Xbox Game Pass. Matches run 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5, with each player controlling a single athlete — no fouls, no offsides, just fast third-person football where individual skill and teamplay decide everything. Sloclap, the Paris studio behind Absolver and Sifu, has built Season 6 around one idea: make every match count.
